Week 12-Easter Holidays

During the Easter Holidays we did our A' testing.
We checked our game by selecting 5 players to play for around 10 hours.
Everything went ok, except from 5-6 bugs that the players have collected.
The bugs has been corrected by our programming team and finally the game is fully ready to realise...!!!! :)

Thank you everybody for your help!!!!

Week 11

Well, here we are!!! The game has already done!! But.... It doesn't have any animations yet! Our graphics designer team has to hurry up and finish as early as possible the animations/clips.
I have taken over to be the testing leader!
It sounds interesting and actually it is! In A' testing, I have to contact with our players and inform the bugs. What have I done? I created a form (using Google Form) including details about the users input and empty text boxes for the user to write.
After that , I' ll have to collect all the bugs(if there are any :P) and deliver them to our programming team!
I'll come up next week with fresh news!!

Week 10

Just 2 weeks left! ! ! Until to deliver our game to our instructor!
This could have been shocking but it's not.. The biggest work has finished and we are dealing with the last things... The graphics and animation have left. "Graphics consists of hard work" as our graphics designer said..
We will all cooperate to finish graphics if is needed.. And in order to deliver our game on time!!
After all, we will have our testings during Easter holidays and I hope everything will be fine!

Week 9

Getting close to the end so fast!!!
In this lecture, most of us worked on graphics and editing photos! The programmers worked on maps and then done!

Also, after editing some photos with our instructor, I realized that I LOVE Photoshop!! Its amazing how you can totally change a photo and remove things!

Week 8

Being away for a week it doesn't mean that I haven't keep track with my classmates.
I informed that the programmer guys couldn't attach the database with the program together in their mobile phones.
Even though, they have the skills to solve the problem and almost done with the programming part...

Week 7

The 7th lecture was one of my best.
The programming team was working on developing...
The graphics design team was creating buttons, figures etc...
The project manager, me and our professor had ended up with the story and started working on the photography material...
It was like a professional group working hard for the best game.. :) I liked that!!!!
It took us some time to add a new language in the game(greek) and then, the rest of the lecture my team was occupied with photoshop. Adjust pictures, change colors, remove useless objects from photos and things like that...

Week 6

I think that we are in a good way. My team and our professor are working a lot.
During the week, we finalized our story and is fully detailed.
Due to some difficulties, we haven't start working on the photography material. We saw the story with our professor and we discuss it. Some changes haas to happen so, me and the project manager are still working on those.

Week 5

At the lecture of the 5th week , all the members of the group and our professor went to Old Nicosia in order to ended up with the plot, the photos of the game and the path that the player has to follow.
The small tour was nice and interesting, and it will help us further more with our game.

Now, having the new material(photos) we can continue easier and the work of each week will be more effective.

Week 3+4

I couldn't even think of how hard is the job that is hidden behind a game. A lot of information, every single part consists of several question marks. Every little thing has to be written down. A lot of discussion is needed in order to ended up with the best idea. As an assistant of the project manager, I think that the story has to finish completely and then start the development of the game.

We also found some difficulties in order to choose which game developer(software) we are going to use and how the game will look like. Finally, we have result that our game is going to be a point-and-click Flash(Adobe Flash) game for Android. We all agreed and we continue ...

Start up: Week 1 + 2

I have created this blog for sharing and expressing my ideas and feelings about my experience in gaming. I'm a 3rd year- Computer Science student and it's a shame for telling that I'm too too too bad in gaming. So, here we are, where everyone can access my "inner world" and search through in order to see what is inside.

Well, the first lecture was absolutely interesting. Our professor has analyzed the most important categories of games that are exist and he was always ended up with an example of them. . . When the lecture had finished ,I consider that the games of 90's where maybe the best games in the history of gaming. Finally, we decided that each of us(fellow students) will come up next week with 2-3 ideas of what game we would like to design.

The second week : VOTING! So, everyone came with different ideas. They were all clever and nice but we had to choose only one... We have ended up with an educational game which has a lot of work... The next days, we had some meetings all the members of the group and we face some difficulties. After all, we said that we will not change our idea and each of us will do its better.

Finally, What am I expecting from this course?
The basic outcome of this course is to learn how to work in groups of more than 2 people.
